A man worth listening to
POPE LEO.
He speaks to every person, except those who embrace nationalism, closed borders, intolerance, racism, prejudice, and domination. In short, the GOP and all those who surround it, including other emerging far-right ideologies worldwide. May the 1.4 billion Catholics in this world follow his words, and lead us out of the nightmare we are living, for the sake of humanity and our planet.
And may Leo continue to shame the narcissism that has no place in this world. Favorite quote from today's mass: The Holy Spirit "also opens borders between peoples," the pope said, by uniting people's hearts and making "us view others as our brothers and sisters." This is how "differences no longer become an occasion for division and conflict but rather a shared patrimony from which we can all draw."

We can only hope the GOP finds religion.
Sounds like Pope Leo is continuing in the tradition of Pope Francis, and Pope John Paul I. Before the summer of 1978, when John Paul I spent 33 days as Pope, before dying mysteriously, I never thought I'd be listening to Popes. I viewed Francis spiritually as the reincarnation of John Paul I. After all these years I can't remember exactly what he said that moved me so, but I was very upset when he died so prematurely.
