Maybe the last Thanksgiving we'll ever have! Magats ruined everything, but worse than that was it wasn't they had 50% of the vote, it's we had 10million Democrats that did not vote! And votes that wasn't counted! So. enjoy probably the last Thanksgiving until a Democratic House, Senate and President set things right again like FDR!

One of my best friends came up with a change.org petition to get the gov't to give green cards to DACA recipients before trump assumes power, so that he won't be able to deport them. I edited it for her. DACA recipients are, of course, those people who were brought to the US as small children, and who have known no other country as home. Here's the petition. Please sign!

I think your efforts have already started to make a difference. There are more than 10 additional signatures since you responded. It had been stagnant most of the day.

Chris Andrews: Let us take strength in each other.

An election was lost to lowlives and bottomfeeders.

But, if it were not Thanksgiving Day, with my family putting me on a tight schedule, I would write a lot here.

They have Speaker Michael Johnson, we have Statesman, Hakeem Jeffries.

Hakeem Jeffries has magnificent possibilities in front of him. Hakeem Jeffries is one of the most inspiring, young leaders, and I for one refuse to be defeated.

Kamala Harris ran a magnificent, two-year, Joyful Warrior campaign compressed into 107 days. Kamala Harris was a miraculous candidate.

Think Kamala Harris is through?

There is a credible probability that Kamala Harris next session will be the Governor of California, one of our most populous, industrialized states.

Blue State Governors are linking together.

We will turn 10th Amendment States' Rights on its head, as a powerful resistance tool for human and civil rights for each person.

Days after the "floating island of garbage -- Puerto Rico" slur, the oldest Latin American civil rights group -- League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) gained 53,000 new members. LULAC is a major civil rights organization, fighting for voter and immigrant rights, founded in 1929.

Think the massive deportations of Trump are new?

This occurred in the 1930s and in the 1950s.

Only to encourage massive re-immigration when we had labor shortages.

Think we don't have Jim Crow now, under Biden/Harris? It is NOT THEIR FAULT, but Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his criminal AG Ken Braxton have tried to intimidate LULAC and have erected death traps in the Rio Grande, that do not stop drug smugglers and human-trafficking, but do drown a young mom and her little kids. Abbott and Braxton have blood on their hands.

We must stop from mutual sorrow and pick ourselves up and RESIST.

LULAC, NAACP, Southern Poverty Law.

Blue State Governors.

We have a strong infrastructure of resistance, and we will join together.

Your twelve points, of course, are EXACTLY RIGHT ON!

Thank you so very much, Chris Andrews. You are a real inspiration to me.

Let us take strength together in our mutual humanity and values and RESIST.

We WILL be seen; we WILL be heard!

I just this morning learned on Robert Reich’s “koffee klatch” that 74 million voted for Kamala, 79 million for Trump and more than 79 million DID NOT BOTHER TO VOTE. What does that say about our fellows? They don’t care. Somehow that bothers me as much as the MAGA folks. It becomes a passive aggression that undermines the wellbeing of all.

I’m as frantic about my immigrant friends, helpers, and community as you. I will stand at the door to the local Family Justice Center and bar the door when the Guard comes. I will get arrested. I will write letters to elected representatives and march.

But until the threat becomes a reality right in front of me, I will continue to live a positive and productive life and avoid paralyzing fear as best I can. There’s no good outcome from the anxiety and nausea fear produces. I choose to avoid going there. I’ll focus on the FUN stuff for now and be the better for it.

I am with you all the way - stay happy, keep anxiety down, focus on the good things. If and when the time arrives for action, we will be ready for it.

Also disturbed by those who did not vote, both for their lack of foresight and concern in thinking about how all of this could play out.

Yes, I will be protecting my peace, using my voice and giving a voice to those who are being silenced. Thanks for your honest, thought provoking writing!

We’re gonna enjoy the holidays in the remaining 55 days that we have left of living in America the way we always knew it. My husband and I are just going to focus on moving out of the country. It may take us a year. We have a lot of things to prepare, but I’m not gonna stay here with a fascist government.

Lori - I hear you and have done much thinking on this myself. Very worried for my children, who are young adults. My good thoughts are with you.
